Courtnie Wolfgang and I co-taught a workshop entitled, Selfie: Interrupted. During this project, girl participants created a series of altered self portraits using various iPad applications and video compilations of these self portraits in iMovie. Their work talks back to the social pressures of girlhood and social media and popular culture representations of girls and women. Special thanks to our digital media consultant O.K. Keyes and student volunteers Christa Eberhard, Leanne Thomas, and Ruzanna Carter for their help.
