O.K. Keyes, Courtnie Wolfgang and I co-facilitated a lyrical media performance entitled Throwing Shadows. Seven girls made collaborative remixes of their individual slam poems in small groups, created screen projections using video clips of their choice and adding special effects to these videos with a Video Jockey software, and performed their poems behind a large screen. Big thanks to a criminology professor Tia Stevens Andersen and student volunteers Brittany Scala and Jennifer Strokis for their help with this project.
